I offered 3 different versions of the Garduino for sale:
Basic kit: $19.90
Included with the basic kit is the following:
- Garduino protoshield with all components:
- Printed Circuit Board (PCB) for all inter-shield connections
- Male header pins to connect PCB to Arduino
- Photocell, to sense light
- Galvanized nails, to sense soil moisture
- Thermistor, to sense temperature
- 1 LED
- 3 10k-ohm resistors
- 1 220-ohm resistor
- 3 terminal board connectors
- 2 Omron G5LE-1 relays
- 2 diodes
- Altoids-style shipping / project case
- A small quantity of swiss chard (a good starter plant) seeds
Deluxe Kit: $59
The deluxe kit is the same as the basic but also includes:
- A 6" planter as the main shipping package (instead of the Altoids-style tin; less waste!)
- 2 extension cords (to be controlled by the relays)
- ~8' of 1/4" plastic irrigation tubing
- A submersible mini pump, rated at 66 gallons per hour
Finished version: $195
This ships in a 20-gallon tote that you reuse as the outer container for 6 plants and includes:
- everything from the deluxe kit, assembled
- 24-inch fluorescent fixture with one plant bulb
- Arduino Duemanilove with USB and power cables
- 6 milk cartons, cut to work as planters
Basically, you supply plants and dirt!
